We are proud of Freedom's outstanding safety record. Our facilities have had zero loss of major containment and one of the lowest Reportable Personal Injury (RPI) ratios in the industry.

The Freedom Rail Group is committed to achieving the highest possible levels of health and safety protection for all employees, clients, subcontractors and visitors through our robust safety management system, coupled with continuous training and education.

Safe operations are a matter of choice, not chance, and we have formulated a written program to govern all the operations of The Freedom Rail Group. It is a condition of employment with The Freedom Rail Group that all employees adhere faithfully to the requirements of our safety program, as well as the safety rules, instructions and procedures issued in conjunction with it. Also, to adhere faithfully to any owner-established programs that may be specific to the work site.

All visitors to any The Freedom Rail Group sites, including but not limited to suppliers, owners, representatives, contractors, regulatory authorities and insurance company representatives, shall be required to follow all safety rules and regulations in effect during their visit.

We understand that every individual plays a vital role in the completion of work in a safe manner. The goal of our ongoing safety and health program is "zero incidents" on all job sites.

Safety Program Goals

The Freedom Rail Group works hard to constantly improve our safety procedures. To that end we seek to achieve the following goals:

  1. Operate under clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed to meet or exceed industry standards.
  2. Standardization of all safety documentation.
  3. All managers, supervisors and employees to buy in with a “Safety First” mindset and attitude, with the goal of “Zero Incidents.”
  4. Be proactive instead of reactive for all safety policies and procedures.
  5. Operate using up-to-date training tracking documents.
  6. Keep all safety equipment up-to-date with new technology.
  7. Exceed customer expectations.
  8. Full reporting of Near Misses to aid in the identification of leading indicators.
  9. Provide full incident transparency.
  10. Work with third-party safety sites to ensure up-to-date safety programs
